    Peach Cobbler

Happy Belated Independence Day Everyone!!! I hope that you all had a good fourth yesterday, I know I certainly did!  We had a big cook out with all of my family and some friends… it was a great time!  I got to go swimming with my dog again and she loved it!! She must have swam with us for a half an hour non-stop!! It was so cute; I wish I had a picture to share with you all!  My sister Laura also taught a yoga class in our backyard!  It was so calming and nice doing yoga outside in a natural setting!  Additionally, I made Paula Deen’s peach cobbler…

    Rhubarb Yogurt Cake

Hi Everyone!!!  I want to share with you something that I am pretty happy about!  Yesterday I took my baby Maria to her first Canine Good Citizen class.  I was super excited, and she did pretty good for her first class!  It has been about a year since I have taken her to beginner obedience classes, so I was quite pleased that she remembered a lot!  For those of you who don’t know, I am hoping to train her to be a therapy dog.  She is just so sweet and loving and friendly, I think she would be a great therapy dog!  I am excited to keep working with her,…

    Rhubarb Crisp

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone!  It is rainy, damp, and dreary outside as I write to you, and nearly freezing!  I think it may have even been snowing/sleeting earlier today!  We have been having EXTREME weather this week.  I kid you not, but earlier this week it was 90 degrees! It’s crazy!  I guess I should be very thankful for this weather though, since other parts of the country have been hit hard by terrible tornadoes… And this weekend, I think the weather will improve and become a bit more normal for this time of year….. which is the perfect time of year to pick and cook with rhubarb! For…

    Dark Chocolate Pinto Bean Fudge

I know that the title of this recipe sounds well…. unappetizing, but don’t stop reading yet!! It’s really good!  I promise!  If you don’t tell people the secret ingredient of this fudge, they would never ever guess! This fudge is a rich satisfying chocolate dessert.  It will satisfy your need for an ooey gooey dessert any day!  While, I am not claiming that the sugar in this recipe is healthy, some of the other ingredients totally are, like pinto beans, coconut oil, cocoa powder, and walnuts.  And let me tell you, this fudge totally does NOT taste healthy!!! For those of you who are chocolate lovers like me, I just…
